Kevin Fralicks Named Associate VP for University Development

Kevin Fralicks, associate vice president for university development, arrives at South from the University of Washington, where he served as assistant dean and chief advancement officer.

Kevin Fralicks has been named associate vice president for university development at the University of South Alabama.

Most recently Fralicks served as assistant dean and chief advancement officer at the University of Washington, where he led the School of Nursing through a $40 million capital campaign and a strategic master planning effort. Fralicks previously served in development leadership roles at the University of North Texas and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

鈥淚 am absolutely thrilled to be selected,鈥 Fralicks said. 鈥淚 have watched the institution from afar for many years, and I know that the entire leadership team has positioned the University to succeed.  I look forward to leading South鈥檚 university development team in advancing the institution鈥檚 mission.鈥

Margaret Sullivan, vice president for development and alumni relations, led a nationwide search for the position.

鈥淜evin鈥檚 experience and success in leading his staff through capital campaigns at major universities will help take South鈥檚 fundraising efforts to the next level. I am thrilled to have him on board,鈥 Sullivan said.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Fralicks received a bachelor of science degree from North Texas State University. In 2002, he received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the UNT College of Education鈥檚 Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies.

Fralicks lives in Daphne, Ala. with his wife, Lucie. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.
