Fuzhou University Zhicheng College Delegation Visits мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ

мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ President Dr. Tony G. Waldrop continued the University of South Alabama’s successful relationship with Fuzhou University Zhicheng College in China on Monday, Aug. 11, during a meeting on the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ campus with President Zuping Zhu and a delegation of Chinese educators.
Waldrop and Zhu exchanged gifts – an ornate scroll containing a Chinese parable written in calligraphy for мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ and a piece of art glass from мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ’s distinguished glass blowing studio for the Chinese visitors – in honor of their meeting. It was Zhu’s first visit to мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ and Waldrop’s first meeting with visiting educators from Fuzhou University Zhicheng College since he was appointed мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ President in February.
The 10-member group arrived in Mobile on Aug. 8 to learn more about мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ and the local area. Their stay has included faculty meetings, classroom time and visits to local restaurants and shopping areas in Mobile and Fairhope.
Representatives of мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ and Fuzhou University Zhicheng College signed a cooperative agreement to further study abroad programs in 2012 during a visit to China by мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ administrators and faculty members.
