Leslie Weaver, a licensed professional counselor with мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ Counseling and Testing Services, began working at the University in 2014.

Leslie Weaver, a licensed professional counselor and a national board certified counselor for мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ Counseling and Testing Services, has been named president of Chapter VIII of the Alabama Counseling Association.

Weaver began working at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ in 2014. She graduated from мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree in education. At the Alabama Counseling Association’s annual conference in November 2014, Weaver also was named an Emerging Leader for 2015-2016.

The Alabama Counseling Association is the state branch of the 40,000 member American Counseling Association. It is an educational, scientific and professional organization with members dedicated to the enhancement of human development throughout the life span. Association members recognize diversity in society and embrace a cross-cultural approach in support of the worth, dignity, potential and uniqueness of each individual. Chapter VIII includes Mobile, Baldwin, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Monroe and Washington counties.
